If you would like to express a concern about a procurement process or probity matter, it is best to raise it first with the departmental team or staff you are dealing with. Most issues are the result of misunderstanding or process error and can be rectified quickly and easily.
If after providing your feedback you wish to pursue the matter further by lodging a formal complaint, please complete the procurement complaint form and provide details of the basis for your complaint.
Procurement Services will receive your complaint, acknowledge it and coordinate an internal independent investigation in accordance with the Victorian Government Procurement Board’s recommended timelines for managing complaints (External link).
If you disagree with the outcome of the internal investigation, your options include:
- requesting an investigation by the Victorian Government Purchasing Board (External link)
- requesting an investigation by the Victorian Ombudsman (External link)
- going to court.
Please note that matters of improper conduct, corruption or fraud are to be dealt with under other existing channels for review.
