Top tasks

The LGBTIQA+ Justice Working Group 2021-23 has now completed activities. A new LGBTIQA+ Justice Working Group was announced at the end of 2023.

Membership

The LGBTIQA+ Justice Working Group was co-chaired by Janet Jukes and Minister Harriet Shing. Other members of the LGBTIQA+ Justice Working Group were Aimee Cooper, Dale Park, Ghassan Kassisieh, Hilary Knack, Jamie Gardiner, Liam Elphick, Sean Mulcahy.

While members were appointed for their individual skills and experience, they brought to the table a wide range of organisational and community connections.

LGBTIQA+ Taskforce members were ex-officio members of the LGBTIQA+ Justice Working Group. Victoria’s Commissioner for LGBTIQA+ Communities, Todd Fernando, also attended LGBTIQA+ Justice Working Group meetings.

The Department of Justice and Community Safety provided secretariat support to the LGBTIQA+ Justice Working Group.

Meeting Communiques
