The purpose of the Attorney-General's Guidelines to the Infringements Act 2006 (the Guidelines) is to help:
- enforcement agencies to issue and enforce infringement notices appropriately, and
- legislating agencies to create or amend infringement offences.
The Guidelines have been separated into two volumes to reflect the differing needs of legislating and enforcement agencies.
