Western Plains operates teams that collaborate to deliver services for the facility and the people in our care. Our teams work together to ensure the smooth operation of our facility and to support both our workforce and the people in custody. Roles at Western Plains cover a range of areas, including and not limited to:

  • administration
  • human resources
  • technology and systems management
  • custodial (prison officer) workforce
  • allied health.

Western Plains also provides diverse education, training and recreational pathways to people in custody. We deliver a range of programs and specific support and have specialist team members providing these supports.

Forensic Intervention Services

Forensic Intervention Services (FIS) is a specialist clinical program within Corrections Victoria.

FIS provides evidence-based screening, assessment and intervention services for individuals in custody and the community. We focus on areas such as violent and sexual offending, restorative justice, violent extremism and family violence.

If you have experience in:

  • psychology
  • social work
  • mental health
  • nursing or;
  • occupational therapy.
